Saw Project Hail Mary with the wife last night. It was pretty good, solid 8/10. Book was better, felt a little rushed. The ending still kind of sucked. If they were going to take some liberties that's where they should have taken them. Recommendation, Don't read the book first.

The travel router mostly worked for offloading media, compact, no laptop, convenient in theory. However, reliability was shaky, files/drives appeared/disappeared, speeds felt slow, and connecting a USB and the GO3 often failed. It got the job done but wasn't worth the stress.

Heading back from spring break family VaCa, the GH5 + 12-35 f/2.8 did the heavy lifting; however, I experienced during a crash-zoom... the screen went DARK even at ISO 3200 f/2.8 / 180°. Turns out the Gen 1 lens iris lags on fast zooms 😅

Going on a family trip, I needed a way to transfer media off my camera cards. I planned to bring an iPad, a dongle, and backup drives, but the @GLiNetWiFi device w/ dongle I'm already taking can do the same. I did a quick test today, and it works perfectly.

I replaced the USB-C cord, which fixed the choppiness, and then mounted the phone on top of the iPad, not using the iPad's camera. The auto-reframe feature made the setup more dynamic and the audio looked in sync. Easy setup, but it would be nice tobe able to use a pro microphone

Did a quick test with @reincubate on the iPad playing @Diablo II on the @PlayStation 5 using a @elgato capture card and using my phone as a microphone. It was slightly out of sync with the Ipad video and the gameplay was choppy.
