Winning is always a good feeling, but it hits different when you’re doing it with guys you really rock with.
You can win with teammates you just get along with for the sake of the team… but when there’s real relationships, everything changes.

One of my college coaches, Robert Lee, told me something that stuck:
When you become a pro, they’re only going to tell you things one time.
Since then, I’ve made it a point to really know the system — offensive sets, defensive coverages, and even different positions.

Modeling your game after someone is smart. Success leaves clues.

The reality is most players won’t make it professionally. That’s just the truth.
But that doesn’t mean the game didn’t give you something valuable.
Basketball teaches discipline, sacrifice, teamwork, and how to deal with pressure. Those lessons apply to life.

If a coach asks you where you want the ball or where you’re most effective, and your answer is “anywhere,” it might sound confident… but it actually doesn’t help.

Being able to adapt to any role is one of the things that can keep you in this game.
Coaches love players who are coachable and willing to do what the team needs. In that sense, it’s a gift.
But there’s another side to it.

Try to start preparing for practice about two hours before.
You want to be fully awake, your body loose, and your mind ready to go. The goal shouldn’t be to just make it through practice — the goal is to dominate it.

One of the best things you can do after practice is decompress and stretch.

Plus, BBD is a well organized club, with small budget yes, but way more organized that I thought at first 💯

🗣️ David Kahn on the future of French basketball, Paris Basketball… and NBA Europe. In a wide-ranging conversation, the Paris Basketball president shared strong views about the current structure of French basketball and the ambitions of his club. On the LNB and the competitive balance in France, Kahn believes the current system needs to evolve: “Our budget, as well as those of ASVEL and Monaco, are so much higher that you can clearly feel the difference in the quality of players compared to the rest of the league. That’s why the LNB needs to change. What we are doing right now is not attractive for broadcasters.” On Paris Basketball’s ambitions, the objective is clear: “We want to play in the best league in Europe, whichever league that may be. We want to become profitable. And we want the ‘Paris Basket’ brand to become global.” And regarding the NBA Europe project, Kahn remains cautious: “It’s difficult for me to have an opinion because I don’t think NBA Europe is fully established yet… But the NBA has said there could be an opportunity to build a bridge with the EuroLeague and create a more collaborative spirit.” Strong statements from one of the key voices shaping the future of European basketball.
