A UK museum, a public institution, and the staff at the front desk chose to wear a keffiyeh as a political statement in solidarity with Gaza and Hamas. One visitor finally said enough. Museums are for history and culture, not political propaganda.

Today, Martin Romualdez showed up before the Independent Commission on Infrastructure — calm, confident, and unshaken. There were no grand gestures, no evasive answers, no theatrics. Just a man facing the issue head-on, ready to speak the truth. And almost instantly, you could sense it — the Duterte camp started to panic. For weeks, they’ve been trying to paint him as someone hiding behind power, someone afraid to answer questions, someone avoiding the issue. They built that story and repeated it over and over, hoping people would believe it. But the moment Romualdez appeared, that entire narrative began to crumble. Here was the Speaker of the House, sitting before the Commission, unafraid. He didn’t hide behind press releases or allies. He didn’t send lawyers to speak for him. He showed up himself — steady, respectful, composed — while those who accused him suddenly lost theirs. And then, as if on cue, the distractions began. The Vice President called an unplanned press briefing, trying to change the topic and steer the headlines away from Romualdez’s testimony. Meanwhile, the absentee representative from Davao City, who can barely be seen in Congress, released a statement full of misleading claims — twisting the story to confuse the public, trying to make noise loud enough to drown out the truth. But the timing gave them away. It was obvious: they were scrambling. They were afraid that the truth was finally catching up. Why the panic? Because Martin Romualdez came prepared — not with excuses, not with drama, but with facts. He didn’t bring spin. He brought a sworn affidavit. He took an oath. He placed himself under public scrutiny, taking full responsibility for every word he said. That’s courage. That’s leadership. Compare that to Sara Duterte’s behavior. When she was called to appear before the House Blue Ribbon Committee, she refused. She defied the summons, mocked the process, and went online to throw tantrums — even making shocking threats against the President, the First Lady, and the Speaker. When faced with accountability, she didn’t defend herself with facts; she lashed out with fury. Despite all the evidence piling up against her, she couldn’t even muster the courage to face the committee. She wouldn’t even show up to defend her office’s budget — something that every responsible government official is duty-bound to do. It’s not just arrogance; it’s a total disregard for her sworn duty to the people. And then there’s Pulong Duterte — a lawmaker who doesn’t even bother attending sessions, who treats public office as if it’s a personal favor instead of a public trust. The Dutertes talk a lot about “accountability,” but they’ve never lived it. They act as if the government is their inheritance, as if the Filipino people owe them power. They forget that public service is not ownership — it’s stewardship. Now Pulong Duterte is lying again, claiming that Martin Romualdez will be made a state witness. But let’s be clear — that’s another desperate attempt to twist the story. Romualdez doesn’t need to be a state witness. He’s not running from anything. He’s not bargaining for protection. He’s not trading testimony for favor. He simply came forward, took an oath, and told the truth — without fear, without spin, without hiding. That’s something no Duterte has ever done. For the first time in a long while, we’re seeing what real accountability looks like — not the fake kind wrapped in slogans or social media noise, but the kind that shows up, answers questions, and faces the people. The Dutertes are panicking because the curtain is finally being pulled back. The show is ending. The truth is standing in the spotlight — and it’s not on their side.
