@ayushsoni_io what was your thinking behind this? this whole animation seems meaningless. The logo has no relation to any other part of the reveal, just sort of appears? makes me think it's just a stock video

TLDR: if you want the next printing of the book, comment below so I can get you on the list Longer Note: I apologize for being slow to messages about the book We have been so honored by how well it’s been received. And so now we get the tackle the “good problems” Some updates on what’s next 1 - We are working on another print. Finalizing the details now to make it special (new cover 👀). It will still be US only. 2 - Following that, we will work on an EU specific print. To bring the costs a bit down so that our friends don’t get ruined by book + shipping costs. It’s a tricky situation but hoping to figure it out. 3 - When the new US prints are ready, we’ll be doing an SF event. 4 - Win???

I’m not the smartest or most talented, but for better or worse, stuff that happened to me has made my stress tolerance weirdly high. Feel calm in chaos and will never stop swinging. Feels like my unfair advantage and how I’ve come this far. Not sure I was meant to.

working in marketing has taught me that storytelling is the most important element for any good ad. but this also applies to composition, color, text, logos, posters. don't just stop at learning design fundamentals. learn what those things are doing to impact the story you're trying to create

whoever inspires you, steal from them. take what they have and run with it. over time, it becomes yours. use it, share it, pick it apart, but hold onto its core.

don't let your vision get clouded by thoughts of what it should be. I spent so much time perfecting what my vision needed to be that I ignored what it wanted to be. give it space. allow it to manifest however it must.

i love films. old films, new films, bad films - they all hold something special. i'd study Kubrick, Lynch, Kurosawa, PTA. during my studies, I stumbled upon a quote, don't recall who from, but it went something like "when studying a director, study the directors they studied, then study the ones they studied, keep going until you can't go any further." this root thinking impacted my whole life. I started to study Eisenstein, Bergman, Ford, and Welles i still use this method today, it's ingrained in me. I ask myself, "whats the simplest form this information can take for me to totally understand it?"

meditation, cold showers, and vitamins solved none of my problems the thing that solved problems was doing the work I was afraid of, every single day, and using what I learned to benefit people at my agency whats right for me may not be right for you, but do the work and find out

you must practise your fundamentals, theres no other way. break them down as microscopically as you have to, but understand them and drill them in wherevever possible.

something i keep seeing is agencies not giving their designers enough credit or attention talk to them, see what they know, and ask them to solve company-wide problems I guarantee you'll walk away from that conversation with so many solutions and ideas they arent just good at designing graphics, they can design companies too

teenage engineering is a brand i've been studying a lot lately. not just their design but their brand philosophy. i hope to one day create products that invite the same level of joy and playfulness that they do. but for now, like a child, i can play with theirs. "Teenage engineering is a good reminder to all of us to never get old — stay curious, stay naïve, and try new things."
