The late Nkosinathi Nkomo (24)🕊️🕊️ was a talented student and inventor from Soweto who mysteriously died on the 3 December 2017. Best known for developing an innovative grey water purification system to address the Cape Town water crisis, he was studying civil engineering at the University of Cape Town (UCT) and co founded a company called AquaRenu. Nkomo reportedly fell from a 5th floor balcony at the Upper East Side Hotel in Cape Town. Reports indicated that his phone was found damaged by rain, which some claim hindered the retrieval of potentially crucial data for the investigation. His father, Moses Ndimande challenged the suicide ruling, citing a post mortem report that allegedly showed he had been struck with a blunt object on the head.
