Marco Rubio is going to Rome to try to repair relationships with the Pope and Italian PM Meloni. Last month Trump attacked his ally Meloni and the Pope, and threatened to withdraw US troops from Italy. Probably pointless if Trump just attacks them again after Rubio's visit.

This summer will be a moment when Putin decides what to do next: expand the war or move to diplomacy. And we must push him toward diplomacy. Russia has announced a May 9 parade in Moscow without military equipment. If that happens, it will be the first time in many, many years. They cannot afford military equipment – and they fear drones may buzz over Red Square. This is telling. It shows they are not strong now. So we must keep the pressure, by sanctions, on them. Please oppose any ideas to ease sanctions – this is important. And thank you also to those who are fighting against Russia’s shadow oil fleet. As of today, there has been no official appeal to Ukraine regarding the modality of a cessation of hostilities that is being claimed on Russian social media. We believe that human life is far more valuable than any anniversary “celebration”. In this regard, we are announcing a ceasefire regime starting at 00:00 on the night of May 5–6. In the time left until that moment, it is realistic to ensure that silence takes effect. We will act reciprocally starting from that moment. It is time for Russian leaders to take real steps to end their war, especially since Russia’s Defense Ministry believes it cannot hold a parade in Moscow without Ukraine’s goodwill.

It should now be official. Trump has made himself the greatest jackass to walk the world stage since......EVER! “We landed on top of it. We took over the ship, the cargo, the oil. It’s a very profitable business… We’re like pirates.” President Trump’s remarks were, once again, strikingly blunt and unfiltered, to the point of sounding almost satirical. Yet the irony is real. The US president was openly acknowledging that American naval power in the Arabian Sea is now being used in ways that mirror the practices it was once built to suppress.

ICE arrested a 5th grader and 2nd grader at the school bus stop in San Antonio as their classmates watched in horror. Their stepmother was detained with them. The community at Alamo Heights Independent School District elementary is speaking out—no child should be locked away at the Dilley trailer prison. I am in touch with their father, Victor Labrador, and I plan on visiting with the family during my inspection of Dilley tomorrow. The family were asylum seekers and had valid work permits—what is happening to them is shameful.

Amber Nicole Thurman’s family will not be having a wonderful Mother's Day. Amber Nicole Thurman from Georgia only needed a routine procedure to clear her uterus, called a dilation and curettage, or D&C. She waited in pain in a hospital bed, worried about what would happen to her 6-year-old son. Due to Georgia’s strict abortion bans, all doctors could do was monitor. Monitor her spreading infection; monitor her sinking blood pressure and monitor her organs beginning to fail. Trump's abortion bans are causing cruel excruciating deaths. He said this is what we wanted. Is that what Amber’s son wanted, to be motherless? I know what Mother's Day feels like as an adult without a mom. Every word of this by @Acosta. The MAGA media voices & MAGA politicians taking “shots” at Trump are not repudiating Trump. They’re all still MAGA, and they’re all just positioning themselves to be big MAGA voices post-Trump. When I left Trump 8yrs ago, I left MAGA, and I “embraced democratic, multicultural America.” Tucker, MTG, Megyn Kelly & the rest are not leaving MAGA, and, truthfully, they’re not leaving Trump.👇

RFK Jr. does no research, just blindly issues statements like this neither knowing nor caring that there is sugar-free Jello & in any case Jello is often the only food that very ill or weak patients can tolerate, along with apple juice/apple sauce. "sugary" is not always a negative but a godsend to patients.

He’s seriously out of his mind because Jello is a food that’s easy to digest,hydrating & perfect for post op surgery patients in recovery because their throats are usually dry & sore & Jello is soothing to them.The packages are extremely small too.

Unbelievable. This Administration uses incompetence as a shield against accountability at each and every opportunity. Betting on the lives of our service members, on war, on assassination, and on death is morally indefensible.
