Two weeks ago at the Vontz Center Cancer Seminar Series, Lindsay Bischoff, 5th year PhD Candidate in the Cancer and Cell Biology Graduate Program, presented her final work-in-progress seminar! Congratulations to Lindsay on this major milestone!

A few weeks ago, our CCB PhD students had the opportunity to have lunch with Emily Wachter, a recent graduate of the CCB Master’s Program! 🥗✨ We’re so grateful she took the time to visit and catch up with the CCB community. 💙

Congratulations to CCB alumna Julianna Korns, PhD, on another first-author paper! “Targeting PLK1 Reduces MMP10 to Enhance Radiosensitivity in HPV- Head and Neck Cancer.” We’re also proud to see 3rd-year CCB PhD student Shreya Shyamsunder (pictured below) as a co-author. 👏

We’re proud to share that Susan Waltz, PhD, CCB Program Director, has been awarded a NIH T32 Grant along with Vinita Takiar, MD, PhD, at the University of Cincinnati Cancer Center.

🎉 HUGE congratulations to Kate Von Handorf, a fourth-year CCB PhD student in the Plas Lab, on receiving a UC Office of Research Graduate Student Stipend Award! This highly competitive award recognizes outstanding graduate research — well deserved, Kate! 👏🔬

🎉 We are excited to celebrate PhD student Camille Stevenson on the publication of her first first-author paper, released this past December! This achievement highlights Camille’s hard work, dedication, and contributions to research. Congratulations on this major milestone! 👏
