@chenniedol Can't blame em, Rim lighting is addicting 😅 I do appreciate how a good rim light could separate the character from the background. At least the creator adds additional light sources so the lighting doesn't come from out of nowhere.

@temporarymine @andrewpprice I think you missed the part where they still received the money. Blender will not directly pursue Ai integration but those who want it will be able to through a fork or through addons/python integration.

It’s double-edged, because the same process that can speed up my work can also complete it without further input from me. I specifically say ‘speed up’ because Ai can only speed up a piece, it can never enhance - not truly

@uccgart @andrewpprice This is roughly like saying that because every phone now has a camera everyone is a photographer. AI is a tool and just like any tool it’s only as effective as the user. If an artist brings their knowledge to it their output will be greater than a traditional consumer.

@andrewpprice Consumers can simply type what content they want and immediately get delivered a product. That’s why artists are understandably worried and against oversaturation of Ai in the production pipeline. (3/3)

No one forced their hands plus they still received the full donation from Anthropic - they just ensured there’d be no strings attached.

@GOREJ1RA I could get behind a perk that punishes survivors for popping a gen during an activation. Perhaps a global notifier that lasts a few seconds. If any gen pops during that time every survivor gets exposed or something of the sort.
