How To Pick The Right Coins From A Bullish Narrative.... This isn't always a walk in the park and as millions of coins gets launched daily, it makes it even more difficult to find the right coins. However, there are some hacks that you can apply to find the right picks. And here's one.... Just like the performance and growth of stocks are tied to their individual companies, same applies to cryptos too. Most coins with utility are tied to a project. And for a coin to appreciate in price, the project it represents needs to experience a growth in performance, utility or adoption. Let me use a practical example of the Nigerian stock market to drive explain the scenario... If I want to invest in the Nigerian stock market now, the first step would be to identify the top performing sectors in the Nigerian stock exchange (NSE). These are sectors with the highest capitalisation, liquidity and investment inflow. Just like we do by first identifying the bullish narratives in a bullrun season. Energy, Communication and Finance are sector the top 3 sectors in the NSE. Let's use the Finance sector which consists of banks, insurance companies, asset management companies etc. as a case-study. Within the Finance sector, banks like Zenith, GTCO and UBA are amongst the top with each of them having a marketcap of over 1Trillion naira. I could choose to invest in a UBA bank stock. And the reason is simple: With a marketcap of over 1Trillion naira, UBA is one of the top and most stable companies in the finance sector. And the finance sector is amongst the top performing sectors in the NSE. Aside this, UBA has well-known services they offer- they are into commercial and investment banking. UBA has a large customer base with branches in some other African countries and most recently, they're also planning to establish some branches in France. UBA is chaired by a visionary and very influential CEO in the person of Tony Elumelu who apart from his popularity in the social media space is also in the good books of the Nigerian govt. You see my rationale behind buying a UBA stock? It is a top company in a top performing sector. It has a known product/service I can easily identify with. There's progress in the company in terms of market expansion. I am confident in the leadership of the bank's chairman. A stock is only as good as the company it represents. So, buying a UBA stock simply means I am betting on UBA bank to do well. As UBA expands in customer growth and service delivery, there will be more capital inflow into the bank which will drive their revenue. And when there's an increase in revenue, it will reflect positively on their stocks performance. Makes sense now? Same approach applies to cryptos too. A coin is only as good as project it represents. Now, let's narrow this strategy down to our crypto research. One of the top narratives in this bullrun season is the Real World Asset (RWA) narrative. In the RWA narrative, we have top coins like $AVAX, $LINK, $ONDO, $IOTA etc. These are some of the coins with the highest marketcap within the RWA ecosystem. I could choose to invest in $ONDO. And these are my reasons: With a marketcap of $2.7B, $ONDO is one of the top coins the RWA narrative. $ONDO is tied to the ONDO Finance project. $ONDO Finance is planning to launch a global market platform next year where people can buy tokenized stocks, ETFs, treasury bills and bonds . $ONDO is led by Nathan Allman who was a former head digital of asset compliance at Goldman Sachs, one of the top investment banking companies in the US. Apart from Nathan Allman, most employees on $ONDO team are all former employees from top investment companies like Goldman Sachs, BlackRock and Bridgewater. $ONDO is backed by Peter Thiel, a co-founder of PayPal and Founders Fund who is worth over $11B. $ONDO is backed by.... Here is a simple template for building a resilient crypto portfolio: Diversify across different crypto narratives - L1 coins, CEX tokens, and maybe AI or RWAs tokens. These narratives have gained some decent level of real-world utility and mainstream adoption. Diversify within narratives too - invest across leaders and contenders. Bluechip coins with real-world utility should make up atleast 70% of your portfolio. Memecoins/shitcoins shouldn't take more than 20% of your portfolio. And there should be portfolio rebalancing from time to time based on trends and trajectory of the market. Building a crypto portfolio isn't just about buying coins at random. There's a strategy to it. And here's a simple strategy you can replicate. Hope this helps.
