@mikasapil1ed So how do you define Jean and Mikasa's friendship? Is it the same as Connie and Mikasa's? Are they classmates who have known each other for a long time, but do they spend time together or talk about each other? Or is there something more? And I only said maybe history.

@uchiha73168 How can you argue for historia and not jean lmao. the 104 are her closest friends after eren and armin, this is objectively how it was meant to be portrayed. If you want to criticize if it was properly developed or built up that’s different.

@ashiewritees As I already said, I don't deny that Mikasa got married, it just seems strange to me that it was to Jean. And justifying it with time jumps and interpretation seems very wrong to me. Mikasa's ending is also very poorly done. Plus, you have to imagine her unknown future yourself.

But, as I said, just because a guy likes a girl and they don't have a particularly close friendship doesn't mean they're good friends.

@AkaruiSakura For me, it happens on both sides; the others deny that Mikasa loved Eren until her last breath. Because that was Isayama's idea: to move on and not forget, because in the end, it never mattered who she married, only that she continued living and loving. But they don't accept it.

And maybe Histori, but Jean didn't seem to have anything relevant going on; she just has the same kind of relationship as Mikasa with Connie—friends or companions. To say they're best friends isn't canon.

@yexger I feel like Isayama just wanted to wrap up Mikasa's arc and that's it. At the very least, I expected a chapter about her overcoming or learning to live with losing Eren, and he also gave little importance to the loss of her parents. He simply didn't care.

This was my main issue with the final arc. The final resolution depends so much on mikasa that i really wish the arc had given her more interiority before the payoff

Sometimes I get upset whenever I remember Mikasa was not really given a proper arc. Ik Isayama himself said that she’s the centerpiece of last arc but with so much happening at once in a rush to conclude the series w/in predetermined chapters- I fear it distracts a lot from her
