Jessah is a second year student who received the Crest  Scholarship from Rizing Tide- a national organization dedicated to fostering diversity in the physical therapy profession. @RizingTidePT

Class of 2026 who led the cooldown exercises for Move! With the Urban League 5K in Hartford (7/13). They also staffed an information booth providing options for low-cost or pro bono PT services and other community resources.

Our DPT students introduced Connecticut College Access Program (ConnCAP) students, rising 12th graders, to the field of physical therapy…and we had some fun too! @ConnCAP, @aptact_dei, @aptact,@uconncahnr

Dr. Colon-Semenza and several graduate students assessed fall risk for participants at UConn Health’s Carnival of Hope in Farmington this weekend. We also joined in on the other fun activities like Tai Chi and a delicious BBQ!

DPT students in the class of 2026 took part in highly competitive relay races as part of their summer Communication and Education class—they know how to have fun!

First year DPT students take part in a pretzel and marshmallow construction exercise to learn about social determinants of health (SDOH) in their Interaction of Healthcare and Society summer course.

CT special Olympics yesterday at Southern CT State University. There was a great showing of UConn DPT students volunteering to assess the fitness of athletes !

The UConn DPT Class of 2027 engaged in experiential learning as part of their Interaction of Healthcare and Society class by spending some time exploring Storrs from the perspective of individuals who use wheelchairs for mobility.
