This week, I had the opportunity to visit the Emergency Health Services dispatch centre in Edmonton with Les Fisher, Managing Director and Chief of EHS, and Anne Macdonald, Chief of Operations of EHS. The tour highlighted the complexity and precision required to manage emergency, non-emergency, and interfacility transfer (IFT) calls across the province. I thank our paramedics and dispatch teams for their tireless commitment to delivering timely, high-quality care to Albertans when it matters most.

The UCP government is making historic investments in education and building schools where they’re needed most. Budget 2026 approved 2 new school projects for north east Calgary - bringing the number of on-going projects in the area to 11.
