I am very much a “if an apocalypse/environmental collapse/etc happens just take me out cause I don’t wanna live in that type of world” gal, but if living in that type of world included a talking Fred… maybe!

I’m reading Dungeon Crawler Carl and the whole time I just keep thinking about whether or not I would go into the dungeon just to hear my cat talk

@udadditastebuds @sebastian_b1500 LOL You can't smell crack. Don't go looking for its use. Just "enjoy" all that tobacco and weed smoked daily on it instead. Once you're done with that, drop a bar of soap off with the fucking bums living on that train 24/7 365

@udadditastebuds @sebastian_b1500 Wah, wah wah. The giving a fuck train about your retarded sob story left the Belmont stop in the 1980's, well before you were in an itch in daddy's pants

@RosieBRB @sebastian_b1500 I said I haven’t seen someone smoke crack on a train. I have seen people smoke crack in alleys, on a train platform, at a park. I also have access to the internet where I can easily look up this information. Wouldn’t expect a turd like you to want to learn new things tho 🤷‍♂️

Fuck off, these people shouldn't be riding public transit. None have ever had a job and all are smelly, drug using scumbags. So, mind your own homework paper of addiction and job loss. These are bad fucking CHOICES these people make and they should be elsewhere to solve their problems, not on the CTA.

@lesboyhardcore There are not great statistics on this BUT the closest thing I could find is opioid deaths on CTA property. In total between 2018-2022 there were a total of 158. In that same period 1.561 billion people rode the CTA. These things do happen but not at the rates you say.

i hate the stigma spread about the cta too but minimizing the severity/frequency of this issue is a disservice to chicagoans too. ive lived here my whole life, rode almost every line start to end, and seen more deaths, ODs, lighting/shooting up than i can count
Chase@udadditastebuds

I have lived in Chicago for over a decade and have taken literally thousands of CTA rides and I have never once been on the same train car as someone lighting a crack pipe. Does crazy shit happen on the train sometimes? Yes. But people like this are so fucking tired man. Loser!!

@Kiwiinthebasket I agree! And if you leave the folks that are high alone they’ll almost always leave you alone. And if they’re bugging you- move to a different car. This idea that we should never experience any inconvenience ever while living in a society is weird to me.

@udadditastebuds It's very rare. it happens, but you'll mainly see people smoking weed or nic. the only thing I've seen are people on hard drugs, but never see them do it. like one time, but mostly they're already high.

@RosieBRB @sebastian_b1500 I ride the same train as you 3x a week for work, but I ride for much longer. And I also use the red line usually 6-7 days a week for personal reasons. Idk what you want me to say here! I have not seen someone smoke crack on the red line personally ever.

@udadditastebuds @sebastian_b1500 I get on and off at Belmont everyday. There at least a smoker of some sort of weed, cigs or crack on one of the legs to and from the Loop just about every day. 3 times a week I also take the Brown from Southport to Western and there's hardly any smokers on that line.

@RosieBRB @sebastian_b1500 I live in Roger’s Park and take the red line literally all the time. I just checked my Ventra app and I’ve taken it 17 times in the last 7 days.

@udadditastebuds @sebastian_b1500 When its jammed it's hard to move and sometimes I don't move 'cause I am so fucking used to it. At least 1/2 my rides on the Red Line are a shit show. Obviously, you don't take the Red much.

@GoodDoctorHank Ok so show me where the consequences don’t already exist? They do! And they aren’t working! More police can decrease crime, but it plateaus much lower than our current levels. I didn’t say no consequences, I said consequences AND help.

@udadditastebuds Well the obvious missed point would be to try to prevent crime, not solve crime. Your hope is everyone is policed by a set of rules based on their economic/social effect on society. The help does not come by removing the consequences of actions that is not allowed by anyone.

The common thread of every single person yelling at me can be boiled down to: yall just don’t want to see this in front of your eyes. You aren’t interested in helping people or improving things so less people use drugs. You just want personal comfort. Fuck all yall fr

@RosieBRB @sebastian_b1500 Twice a month you have to move to a new car because of an inconvenience to you that doesn’t actually really have much of an effect other than annoyance? The horror!!

@udadditastebuds @sebastian_b1500 at least 5 times a week and at least 2 or 3 times a month I have to change train cars due to weed, cigs, disgusting body odor, crack, who tf knows what else.

@GoodDoctorHank My dude we already live in the country with the most prisoners and police by a HUGE margin. And yet that alone doesn’t solve all of our crime. How about we help people too? Is that really so crazy to ask for??

@GoodDoctorHank I love how you’re picking pieces of my argument out but not engaging with the idea as a whole. Did you see the part where I said that would be ok with me if I also got the social safety nets to go along with it?
