Just learned the very sad news that one of our members, Eelco Visser, passed away yesterday. We are all quite saddened by this rather unexpected news of the passing of such a vibrant researcher.

I had the honour to be one of his PhD students, and feel grateful I had the chance to work with him on the same topic as his own PhD. I’m terribly sad about this shocking news. He will be remembered and missed by all the many researchers who had the chance to work with him.
