One thing that fascinates me about Patriots is their ability to use FACTS to dwarf the coven online hoodlums. They do it with ease & stylish humour. They are highly cerebral. They speak Truth to power when they falter. They have integrity and believe in ONE indivisible Nigeria

That was the reason I posted the picture. So people will know it is not today that you started impacting lives. Thank you for what you did for Tomisin. She is now a Software Engineer in one of the big tech companies.

Na you say make we show you oo First attempts presidential candidate that did not win but surpass peter obi vote Olu Falae (1999) 11,110,287 Muhammadu Buhari (2003) 12,710,022 Others who have also beaten it but not first attempt Muhammadu Buhari (2011) 12,214,853 Atiku Abubakar (2019) 11,262,978 So 6.1M is not unprecedented. Others crossed that mark long before 2023.
Omar Zarma@Lanko_C

Call him a joker if you like, but that “joker” pulled over 6,101,533 votes in his first presidential run. Show me any candidate who has achieved that at their first attempt. You may take him lightly, but we don’t, because he understands our strength and has a clear, workable plan for the North. A New Nigeria 🇳🇬 is POssible 🤝✅

But when someone tells Peter Obi that you can’t claim to be saving Nigeria from corruption while in bed with the people responsible for the corruption you people will start crying and bringing up “nuance” and “strategic positioning”. Once it’s your guy, you switch up the principles. You people have ZERO concern against corruption or slums, zero consistency in what’s right or wrong.
Sheni Coker@sheni_coker

You can’t claim to be saving children from the slum while you’re in bed with the people responsible for populating the slums. It makes no sense

The LANGUAGE of Journalism is different, but those not TRAINED as journalists won't still understand. Headlines must be in PRESENT TENSE except when headline starts with words like HOW, WHY. Headlines must not end with FULL STOP too (I once told someone who is a blogger this, but up till now, he hasn't changed). In journalism, there is what is called 5Ws and H - Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How. These are the essential questions journalists must answer in any news story to ensure comprehensive, accurate, and objective reporting. The 5Ws and H must be answered in the LEAD (first paragraph) or at most, the first and second paragraph. This is why news stories are written, using the INVERTED PYRAMID method (most critical information must come first). Also, even when a man has been charged to court for a crime, a journalist must always use the word ALLEGED or ACCUSED in reporting the news. For instance, journalists must not write "XYX faces trial for stealing N100m," it must be "XYZ faces trial for allegedly stealing N100m." Most importantly, personal opinions of journalists must not reflect in his reports. It is for journalists to present reports with facts, it is for the public to hold opinions after reading the reports. To guide and protect these principles of journalism, there are regulatory authorities like the Nigerian Press Council and National Broadcasting Commission, just as there are regulatory authorities in other sectors. Therefore, holding people, especially public office holders accountable is important, but in doing so, practicing journalists must uphold the ethics and rules of the profession. And to be able to do this, training is important.

Learned Counsel, The Nigerian Broadcasting Code was first published in 1993 and has been revised in 1996, 2002, 2006, 2012, and 2016. Rufai Oseni began his media career around 2003, but gained a national profile after joining Arise TV in 2019 as co-host of The Morning Show. So I am wondering, how can Rufai Oseni be the target of a code that was published before he started his media career? How can he even be the target of the code that was last revised three years before he (Oseni) gained a national profile after? The core mandate of the Commission, as outlined in Section 2 of the NBC Act, is to regulate and control the broadcasting industry in Nigeria. This mandate includes overseeing radio, television, cable, satellite, and other broadcasting media to ensure they operate ethically and professionally, in line with national interests. The NBC Act also mandates that the NBC regulate professionalism, ethical standards, and technical excellence. What the Commission did was to cite these powers, warn stations about unprofessional conduct and call for adherence to the Code. I understand that there are about four court rulings that have restrained the NBC from using the NBC Act or Broadcasting Code to impose fines, threaten sanctions, harass, or intimidate independent media houses, but none of these rulings stripped the NBC of its overall regulatory mandate under the NBC Act. So no, this is not “private censorship”. This is just the NBC doing what it was established to do. Regards.
FESTUS OGUN@mrfestusogun

Wanton attack on freedom of expression. Rufai Oseni is the target. And this attempt at private censorship will be strongly resisted.

I should donate money for election for dino melaye, david mark, Atiku abubakar and Peter obi. Dino melaye: 2X house of representatives member for kogi west, has multiple cars and houses, infacts he flaunts his cars on us. David mark: 2X senate president, no single tangible project for benue state in his constituency, embezzled bastard funds during his time. Atiku abubakar: 2X custom chairman, 2X vice president of the federal republic of Nigeria, own Mikano Generator company, lives in dubai only come to Nigeria during election period. Peter obi: 2x former governor, 4 years working under former General Abacha in apapa Tincan port as Chairman, owns Next shopping center, Owns Cash and carry shopping center, has shares in Fidelity bank, has large shares in Nigeria brewery. But poor Nigerians should Donate for their election? Òni kúre Aisha.
Aisha Yesufu@AishaYesufu

The thinking that candidates are supposed to use their money to run for election is the biggest setback we have politically! When candidates use their monies, is it election or business? When a godfather pays, is it election or ownership? We often wonder why politicians get into office and focus on self rather than the people. Well, it is because often they funded themselves and have to recoup or answerable to their godfathers to pay back! We must put our money where our votes are, if we truly want to have full control as citizens! Small donors must be the ones funding campaigns of politicians! Consider it your political sadaqah/tithes!

TODAY WAS ONCE YOUR FUTURE I said jokingly to a friend who was a landlord in Atan Ota, when I was a tenant in Ojodu, that he started life where he is supposed to end it. He was the chairman of the estate among retirees. What's the point suffering while you're young because you want to enjoy when you are old? I understand the principle of delayed gratification but there has to be an inflection point. On the way to where you are going, enjoy where you are to the fullest. Buy that dress, do the hair, buy the car, rent in that posh estate and furnish it to taste until that time God says you'd build your own in the same place or somewhere even better. I was pressured to buying an acre of land in Oko Afo, Badagry with the first 200K I made in life. Till today, I can't tell where the land is. Even if I locate it today, i wouldn't need it for anything. It would have been better if I had spent that money on roasted turkey and Chamdor and it'd have shown on my skin because I was actually suffering and hungry at that time. Do that charity, be kind towards others, show love, be part of every good cause, everything noble, focus on the beautiful things that makes you happy. Life is ephemeral, nobody is assured of tomorrow.

Thank you Daddyfreeze. When I said the same thing, those children of frustration came for my head and dragged me for 4 good days. They want to have free university education and free electricity and when they vote Peter Obi everything will be free.

Actually, fake drugs and counterfeit consumables are worse than original alcohol - and they harm more people than alcohol ever will. A man who takes a known poison has made a choice. But the man who swallows a counterfeit - who reaches for what he believes is medicine and receives instead a quietly engineered death - that man never had a chance. Original alcohol, at its worst, kills the willing. Fake drugs kill the trusting. And there is no sin more grave than the one that preys on trust. Good Morning Severally..

One of the best things you can do for your health is to cut out alcohol completely from your life.

@ugodeezer @StatiSense I had to go over the whole stats again to make a meaning into it. I'm sure that would have been resolved if "Election winner" was at the foot of the statistics. Your understanding is actually puny that's why you don't know being a chemical engineer means.

I agree with it. We need to put an end to it. Saying things like “the man is too humble, he carries his own bag, enters economy flights, cook his own food and serves his guests personally despite being a billionaire” These are very pedestrian and unintelligent conversations. We need to focus on issues around the capacity of presidential candidate to make meaningful policies that affect the daily lives of the people like security, education and economy. We need to start asking questions on things that will be done differently to make Nigeria a country it should be.
Alhaji@yeankhar

“Daddy does not sleep til about 4:30 am in the morning…” That sort of fooling shouldn’t be seen near our politics ever again. We should rise above pedestrian conversations like that as a nation.
