Her plans don't stop there, after graduating she'll attend University of Alabama to earn her master's degree with a focus in Library and Information Sciences. We know that she'll be leading the way with her dedication and experience!

"My favorite memory from my time at UH is being a student within the African American Studies Department and having the opportunity to attend the National Council for Black Studies Conference in Cincinnati, OH where I presented my research on the Black Campus Movement."

Coogs, today is Giving Day and the 98th birthday of UH! CLASS is currently #4 on the Most Dollars Raised Leaderboard, and we’re close to being in the top 3. If we can make it into the top 3, that’s an extra $2,000 dollars from the university to support CLASS students.

Today, we learned that lifelong Houstonian, Sylvester Turner has passed away. Turner, former Houston mayor and CLASS alumnus, has been an integral part of our city. He served 27 years in the State House of Representatives then 2 terms as mayor and finally, as a U.S. Congressman.
