@nichegrownerd This is 100% right, almost every SEO platform has took this approach that you have to add an angle on what you are posting.

While so many creators panic when a keyword “looks competitive” on Pinterest…
I actually see it differently.
Even when I search something like “rustic wedding decor ideas” and see tons of Pins with big text overlays, I still genuinely enjoy scrolling as a user.
Because they’re not the same.
Yes, same keyword.
But completely different angles:
– DIY tutorials
– Classic inspiration
– Trend listicles
– “What we regretted” posts
– Personal experience stories
And as a user, I love that.
In that moment I can choose:
Do I want quick tips?
Do I want someone’s story?
Do I want pure inspiration?
Do I want a checklist?
It turns search into an experience - almost like YouTube or TikTok.
And Pinterest is doing this very intentionally.
Search is way more advanced now.
Not long ago, Pinterest mostly showed near exact-match results. If you typed a keyword, you basically saw Pins targeting that exact phrase.
That shifted massively after their LLM-powered relevance update in December 2025.
Now it’s less about exact wording and way more about real intent and contextual relevance.
If you’re curious, you can read their engineering breakdown here:

@heydudeimjayant @nichegrownerd Train your algorithm, this is so important, click “show less” of the pins that you don’t want to see and eventually everything will be to your liking.
English

@nichegrownerd From last few weeks, Pinterest is not showing Text Overlay pins on search. Only showing plain pins without links. 🤔

Good news 🎉🙌
Two more sites just got accepted into Mediavine Journey - making it a total of 5 sites on Journey right now.
- 2 on Ezoic
- 5 on Journey
- 1 almost ready for Raptive
6 are still in review on Journey
If you’re not inside the Build-With-Me Plan right now, seriously what are you doing?
You’re missing out on SO much while 63 members already scale their site(s) with me

this is what i call the african slum method
because essentially
very poor african families will pump out a bunch of kids, like roughly 7 kids at a time
5 of the kids die early on like from birth issues or due to lack of food
1 makes it to 2 years old then dies due to bacteria in water like malaria / food poisoning / communicable diseases, whatever
and 1 lives a whole 20-50 years just outta pure luck
same logic applies here
shkeffy makes “87 channels”
around 70 are useless and never get monitised, dont really get anywhere and basically die early on
if lucky he has 17 useable channels and maybe they might make a little or if lucky get to the $10k-$100k/month range
correct me if im wrong but this is my understanding of it
still bottom of the barrel shit imo shawn
penny picking
could use your God given talents for many other things

This is my favorite (and FREE) way to find niche competitor pages on Facebook.
The very first step is to create a brand new Facebook page. Yeah, completely new, for maximum efficiency.
Then I open the Facebook search bar.
I type the keyword of the niche my new page is about.
I check all the pages showing up in the results. I start clicking on the most relevant ones, the more relevant, the better. It could be pages, posts, or groups. I click on all of those results to see if they’re what I’m looking for.
What I’m looking for is relevant posts in my niche, the more viral, the better.
Then I hit the like button on the most relevant (& viral) posts, follow those pages (aka competitors), and join those groups.
I even go to the pages behind those viral posts to check for more content from them. If I see posts that are viral and relevant, I hit the like buttons.
I repeat this for all pages and groups I found. I go deep. I look for posts with a few thousand likes, shares, or comments. I like them all. I comment if needed.
You may ask WHY.
It’s simple.
I want Facebook to know exactly what content I’m interested in.
I let the algorithm learn from what I’ve interacted with.
And then… 👇👇

bro built a pinterest saas
going on starter story provides ZERO benefit to his business.
i love when founders come on to the channel who genuinely want to share how they figured things out, to help people who were in their shoes years before.
life is about paying it forward.
and that's what starter story is all about.
