Took me 2 hrs to cover 1.4 kms on my way back home via Chinnaswamy - yes, on foot. My brain: this feels like a stampede situation --> oh come on, don't be an overthinking spoilsport. Just found out 11 people lost their lives in the stampede. What a tragedy of a win!

The worst thing about UPSC is that it keeps making you feel it’s “just round the corner” The cutoff is 75, you get 65, you feel “I was almost there” The cutoff is 87, you get 81, again same loop A vast majority keeps missing it, closely.. The ugliest part of cutoff based exams

Annually, over 1.3 million aspirants apply for the Civil Services exam against ~1,000 seats implying a success rate of 0.08%. This means 99.9% of aspirants are left behind after preparing for years in social isolation, for no fault of theirs (2/9)
