i think losing a metronome (your direction) vs. gaining a conductor (someone to love) is one of the coolest lyrical plays in this song so i just wanted to highlight it especially

the BRIDGE is the payoff to the 'metronome' earlier. a conductor can also set a performance's tempo, but they're human, not a static object. utopia is a static, shallow answer to a complex problem. the tempo of a person who loves you, is fluid (allegro/lento), more fit for life

@ujungmp3 i think she's the first, yeah, and the most severe case. i don't think its necessarily true that the white plants are inherently corrupt, i think they're supposed to be part of the process of mixxtopia's 'rebirth', but are very overwhelming at first

@ujungmp3 i realised this when i was watching it for the 3rd time, cuz remembering how the fungi controlled people in the last of us really reminded me of jiwoo’s strange movements at the beginning

@ujungmp3 jiwoo was said to be a person waiting for love in the album trailer, and i think as the investigator in the lore, when she didn't find what she was waiting for, it was like poison

@flunariq interesting! I initially interpreted it as some form of medicine/respiration to keep her alive—or at least smth that doesn't cause harm. but rewatching sullyoon inspect the plants on her fingers, maybe they aren't as familiar with it as I thought

@ujungmp3 i think it’s down to the fungi/transparent plants on this new planet; they seemed to be blocking her breathing and maybe she somehow got poisoned by them, so yoona trying to bring her back to normal
