The tragic death of a child in Polmont has been reported. Our thoughts go to their family and everyone who knew, and cared for them. Prison is no place for a child. @ScotParl passed a law committing to no child going to prison. This reinforces the urgency of implementing it.

Prison is no place for children. Earlier this year, after years of campaigning @ScotParl passed a law to prevent this. It should have been commenced immediately. @Scotgov was repeatedly warned that continuing this practice breached children's rights and risked their lives.
