ROSALÍA becomes emotional as she takes the stage tonight in Berlin, facing a sold-out arena, and recalls when she was there about ten years ago in the audience at a Kendrick Lamar show: “This morning, I remembered when I came to this city for the first time. It wasn’t that long ago. I was travelling with some friends, and we came here to watch a Kendrick Lamar show. I remember feeling completely astonished, deeply moved by that performance. At the time, I hadn’t seen many large-scale shows like that. And as I was watching, I thought to myself: ‘I am truly going to try. I will do everything within my power to be on that stage one day.’ And now, nearly ten years later, I am here with all of you. It happened.”
