Diana Gichengo on KTN says Kenya is now losing Sh3 BILLION every single day to corruption and wastage. Under Uhuru, the figure was estimated at Sh2 billion a day. Do the math. Sh3 billion × 365 days = Sh1.095 TRILLION a year. Now look at Kenya’s budget deficit, its approximately about that number. That’s the same money government goes out to borrow. Meaning? Kenyans are being taxed, squeezed and buried in debt, so a few people can loot comfortably. We really jumped from the frying pan in the 2022 elections.

Mbadi has called a press conference to tell Kenyans that the government charges a combined 55% tax on mobile phones. What is the justification for the 55% tax if not greed by government? They even charge 2% on mobile phones for railway. You wonder how the two are connected. The new incoming government must re-examine and do away with all these unnecessary taxes. Please join me in demanding justice for Prudence Imali. I’ve just watched an NTV report about Prudence Imali, a woman who was allegedly shot by police during the matatu strike. What hurts the most is that she was not even part of the protests. She had simply left her child at home and rushed to a nearby shop to buy something. While returning home, she was allegedly shot. A child waited for their mother to come back home, but she never did. Now reports say police have refused to release the OB, delaying the postmortem and denying the family answers. This is the part that should disturb every Kenyan: Today it is Prudence Imali. Tomorrow it could be your sister, your mother, your wife, your friend, or anyone innocently walking home. How many innocent lives must be lost before accountability matters? Please raise your voice. Please speak out. Please demand justice. Justice for Prudence Imali.
