Whose body was it? What is the person inside it made up of? Are there two people, one inside the other?

I've been recording podcasts all afternoon & obviously couldn't dash anything off quickly. I don't think I can answer this to your satisfaction, Henrietta. Sorry. But I'll try. I believe *at the same time* that people can be born in to the wrong body *and* that a person who doesn't believe this shouldn't be forced to accept that it's true. Especially, now you have made me aware of the scenario, disabled women in need of intimate care. If I was in charge of your care I would want to agree to your requests and then I would be unable to explain to a trans woman, proven let's say to be a brilliant carer for other disabled women, why this was fair. That said, I would personally prioritise the feelings of anyone in your position over hers so my answer to your central question is yes. I would like to ask this question on air at some point & have followed you so we can find a way for you to contribute to that conversation (should you want to, of course!)

Why? Well, if you're a species who likes familiarity and safety, you're at risk of stagnation. But if certain members of your population, particularly ones in their physical prime, tend to reject the norms and wander off to try new things, that'll stave off stagnation

Ecology:
If your govt wants to police daily consumer CO2 emissions - ask them why they're not willing to talk about the Nordstream pipelines which have made all the CO2 savings of your entire population meaningless.
The Nord Stream gas leak emitted up to 500,000 tons of methane. Methane traps 80% more heat than CO2.
That's equivalent to burning 5 billion gallons of gasoline (Nature article citing calculation from a previous leak cited by the California Air Resources Board.)
The USA lectures the world on CO2 emissions and yet these pipes were most likely blown up by the USA.
We badly need to bring a sense of scale and consequences back into politics.

@MrEwanMorrison Nordstream loss would have fuelled a few hours of Europe CO2 emission. Methane is worse greenhouse than CO2 but oxidises away to CO2 in a few decades.
It's a marker of the huge and intractable scale that even this monstrous event was barely material.

And that's why I'm proud to say that I've been in his corner to some very small degree for some time.
But what's really heartening is to see all the people who let him down, cut him off, crossed the road and looked the other way, his closest friends and agents and colleagues and collaborators, holding their hands up and admitting they were wrong and he was right. He's lost years of productive work, prospects and prosperity and even a family but at least it must help to know that those people have admitted their mistakes and acknowledged their cowardice and made their peace with their old friend.
Yeah. right. Don't hold your breath.

If it please the courts (everywhere), how should I refer to all members of the sex class of people with uteri/ovaries/vaginas so that I can distinguish them, without exception, from all members of the sex class with testicles/prostates/penises?
