Replacing juries with a judge and two magistrates would reduce the diversity of those making life changing decisions about guilt. As the #BlackLivesMatter movement makes its voice heard, it would be wrong to ignore the reality of unconscious bias in our justice system.

The consultation results will be published this week, and I’ll be voting in accordance with what residents have said. My thanks to @salford_mayor and @SalfordCouncil officers for ensuring a transparent and balanced process throughout. theguardian.com/uk-news/2025/n… @ChrisOsuh @guardian @garycaltonphoto @SalfordCouncil

Fair play to CannCare. They reached out we had a good chat and I consider everything resolved my end. Thanks @umadcal and @cann

Upon seeking legal advise I publicly refute all allegations of criminality made by @CannCareUK or any of their associates against me. Jim the Meadowman on Oct 19th 2025 While vague the below clearly refers to me (as well as others). I was blocked for arguing some people using legacy market are patients. I am a lawful medical cannabis patient one of the first in the uk, I have been a legal patient since January 2019, 3 months after the law changed. I am not a criminal. I have never been charged with, nor convicted of, any crime. My lived experience does not confirm any act of criminality, and I reject that implication entirely. I’ve noticed since being blocked by @CannCareUK and I assume a bunch of their cronies for discussing real patient issues, ones that don’t fit their approved narrative, my feed is barely showing any cannabis content. I’m having to go look for it. Maybe the algorithm now thinks I’m “disruptive” to the topic, or some other such bollocks. All I did was state the real choice faced by many patients: to use the legacy market. I’ll always defend those left behind by the “legal-only” crowd. Yes, sometimes I use legacy-market cannabis. Does that mean the effects on my tics aren’t real or that I’ve suddenly admitted I’m a criminal? No. Criminality is hearsay until proven in a court of law. My defence to any accusations always has been, and always will be, that I am a patient and my use is a medical necessity. Until a jury of my peers finds me guilty, organisations like this have no authority to decide who is or isn’t a criminal. I’m not a criminal, I’m a patient. No jury of peers has convicted me, and I’m confident they wouldn’t. Leaving people labelled as criminals because the law is unjust? Look yourselves in the mirror. This new algorithm gives too much power to collectivism. My feed shouldn’t change just because a bunch of charlatans blocked me. I deserve to be part of the conversation. I wasn't rude, insulting or anything else other than having a discussion of real issues in good faith. This is opinion policing. Between 1.6 and 2 million people in the UK self-medicate with cannabis, yet even “generous estimates” say only 100,000 use it legally. What kind of “patient group” alienates the biggest cohort of patients? Blocks with retrospective warning? And posts libel against a clearly genuine patient for daring to discuss reality? They’re not in it for the patients of the UK. They’re in it for themselves.
