“Why don’t you just eat fucking ramen everyday? Just eat peanut butter and ramen for 50 years dumbass and invest all your money into the pico top of the gayest most fragile empire in history you dumbass idiot. Just starve and eat shit and dirt everyday for your entire life and then you can spend $30 on lunch when you’re old and about to die it’s simple. Don’t you know your 20’s are for grinding?? You’re supposed to eat shit for the majority of your life that’s why your ancestors built America. So you could eat shit and fucking die moron.”

@Cramblins @DonutOperator Corporations and their pets allow the hiring of illegals and H1Bs who steal from the American people. They lobby to offshore production, corporations also cry and beg for special government contracts and bailouts, government spending is an issue but so is corporate lobbying

@umbrellatweeter @DonutOperator Corporations don't cause price increases. Changes in supply and demand and inflation caused by additional government spending and monetary policy cause price increases. Corporations just respond to said increases same as everyone else.

@Cramblins @That_Guy_42_2 @DonutOperator It’s not equating cooking to building a house, it’s questioning why “fast food” prices are over priced Instead of just going “cook your own meals” Should I try making my own gas for my car since gas prices are high? Or am I allowed to question why we allow OPEC to control prices?

The boomer vs zoomer money debate can be boiled down to two competing principals that are exclusive to their reality of origin. The boomer can’t process the logic of a $28 lunch when you don’t even own a house or car. Why? Because their reality is one with a future. They see the zoomer as able to differ those lunches and leverage that deferment into a new home… and in the boomer’s reality, this does and has worked. The zoomer can’t explain the rational of a $28 lunch while being a paycheque to paycheque brokie. Why? Because the zoomer has no future. Recall “You’ll own nothing and like it.”??. A down payment is a decade of lunches, not a year of lunches. If houses are still legally tradable after that decade! A $28 lunch isn’t THAT fancy, but is better than fast food, that’s only marginally cheaper… and in the zoomers reality, a good lunch today is worth more than a fake house in never never land in a tomorrow they’ve been expressly told they will not have.

And they’re absolutely right. This is one last “fuck you” by the most selfish generation in American history, who can’t bring themselves to sell their empty nest for a young couple who wants to start a family. We have socially engineered everything about American society to cater to the Boomers at every stage of their lives. When they were young, we dismantled centuries of traditional American society to cater to their Progressive values. When they entered the workforce and began acquiring assets, we began to reorder the entire economy around rewarding hyper financialization rather than entrepreneurialism. We capped property taxes in California, had 40 years of structurally falling interest rates, abandoned the gold standard, and began running chronic trade and fiscal deficits to give them asset price inflation and fund their consumption habits. And when they grew old, every aspect of Federal politics became oriented around catering to them. We threw open the borders to mass migration to prop up the massive entitlement system they enjoyed, we borrowed trillions to fund their benefits, and we torched decades of future economic growth and productivity in order to ensure they had a comfortable retirement.
Timcast News@TimcastNews

Tate and Scott say abolishing property taxes would overwhelmingly benefit older homeowners, while younger generations already priced out of the housing market get stuck carrying even more of the burden.

The median annual income for Gen Z right now is $40,664. Boomers love to do this thing where they imagine that the younger generations are raking in piles of cash but then immediately blowing it on high dollar dining. It’s never inflation, or wage stagnation or labor exploitation that’s to blame for the financial hardships young people are facing… it’s avocado toast.

Can't raise minimum wage because it will kill jobs. Can't raise taxes on the bourgeoisie class because it will kill jobs. Can't ditch oil because it will kill jobs. But when these companies replace 50% of their workforce with AI, it's "sorry, that's just the way it goes."

*Rant begins* “mY LuNcH iS $28!” A: Learn to cook… or at the very least, learn how to make a sandwich. It’s not hard… recipes ABOUND online. Just be sure to silently thank the 4th Earl of Sandwich for this boon to civilization. B: Invest in a warehouse store membership. Buy staples in bulk. Costco, BJ’s, Sam’s Club… doesn’t matter. Plan your menus accordingly. It gets easier the more you do it. 10 pounds of assorted meats and veg make quite a few meals. C: Eat to live. Don’t live to eat. That doesn’t mean to stop enjoying your favorite meals, but that $9 cheeseburger you just threw down your neck? I can find a copycat recipe online in less than 15 seconds, and I’ll bet you a Coke it’ll taste better… and cost a LOT less than $9. There’s no feeling in the world quite like making your own bacon jalapeño double cheeseburger, realizing how easy it actually is, then flipping off the restaurant down the street. I don’t blame these kids for their situation. I blame their parents for not teaching them basic skills. Cooking is a basic skill. So is financial responsibility. You can bitch and moan all you like… or you can actually do something about it. *Rant complete* Addendum: Holy shit, this might be my longest tweet ever… That’s not about bad films.

O'Leary is out of touch, but Chiptole's isn't worth the money. You can go to a Mexican food cart and get the same damn thing, larger portion, full meal w/drink, and STILL PAY LESS than what Chiptole is charging for a single burrito.
Nicholas J. Stelzner@stelzner_n1150

A Chipotle burrito costs $15. Ground beef is $7 a pound. Inflation is financially crippling Gen Z. Once again, an out-of-touch rich boomer is lecturing young people.
