“The response of the followers to these realities is one of denial and evasion, and because they have been nurtured upon love, fear and reverence of personalities, they have no talking points besides invoking tazkiyāt (commendations) and conspiracy theories about taking down Shaykh al-Bukhārī. They keep repeating the same thing over and over again, that he is an Allāmah who has been praised and must be referred to, and that people are jealous of him and want to bring him down etc. None of these are knowledge-based answers to the serious issues which have been demonstrated with clear evidences.”

“Shaykh al-Bukhārī made open revilement of the political and religious leadership by questioning their rationality at the onset of the tribulation. So over a period of two years, Shaykh Nizār made efforts to advise Shaykh al-Bukhārī in a private capacity, to inform him about the reality of the situation, and encouraged him to give the correct, legislative ruling about the situation, to support the ruler of Sudan and his efforts against the Khārijites, and to remove the confusion he created, given his perceived status. However, very sadly, he behaved with disdain, issued threats, and refused to engage, thereby violating scholarly standards and responsibilities. Then, just as with Southern Yemen, the Saudi government aided the Sudanese government in repelling the Khārijites and rebels with military support. In both of these situations, Shaykh al-Bukhārī opposed Saudi’s regional security policies, opposed the foundations of the Sunnah and belittled and humiliated those shaykhs who called to it.”
