@i0lanthe_ There's predatory dung beetles aswell fun fact. Some dung beetles decapitate ants and some dung beetles hunt millipedes.

Sometimes to reach the stars you must climb over a ball of shit

@i0lanthe_ I was watching a nature channel years ago when a dung beetle documentary came on. I thought, “how is there enough info about dung beetles for a whole program?” the fool I was. they navigate using the stars. they climb up on the poo, gaze at the sky, and adjust their path.

@i0lanthe_ Shoutout also to Diplura. Not insects but still awesome. Love them.
English

@i0lanthe_ I love mining bees, genus Andrena. Especially the tawny mining bee, Andrena fulva...

@1verymuddybee @AriTheDumb @Shadoo_creeture The gif also shows hornets, Vespa, not even yellow jackets..

@chimplyfred @Shadoo_creeture I don't get why they do that anyways. Once you know a gif is considered abuse, it's not hard to just not use it??? No one is forcing you to use gifs of monkeys being abused.
English

@Shadoo_creeture People will have all the gifs they use be of primates being abused and then act snarky when you tell them, it's awful

Meningitis symptoms can develop quickly, so it’s important to act immediately if you spot them.

@Narcissus_Flour If its the species I'm thinking of, these guys are also apart of a species complex with about four species in it, which basically means they're almost indistinguishable from each other and the lines between each separate species are pretty blurred
English

@redhead_ophelia @GopeshKhetan Also mites are an entire group of arachnids. There's all kinds of species adapted for different things and not all of them are harmful to us...
English

@redhead_ophelia @GopeshKhetan Mites are literally everywhere what are you on about. It doesn't matter if there's trees or not.

@undeadthing78 @PanicStasis Oh my goodness you just taught me something new and cool as hell!! Thank you so much!!

1000 rats is definitely the better option here. They are naturally more skiddish and while they do eat meat, they aren’t pack hunters nor do they gang up on larger animals like us. With spiders, while they are very reluctant to bite, if they are medically significant and are also more on the defensive side, this could lead to quite a few bites
💕💕💕@TheeAnimeGuru_
Would you rather be trapped in a room with 10,000 spiders, or 1000 rats?

@CuDeePie @kiutiexo @ikafishh perhaps surprisingly the best way to help people understand what is considered abuse is by using a photo of it. the infographic is made by people who have rescued a range of primates from the pet trade and entertainment industry, but if you needed more info then these are here
