Investigations indicate that Transformer No. 2 (incomer) failed to open. In addition, the Banfield Feeders 1 and 2 are displaying signs of overload which could indicate protection faults, while the Gordon Road Mini Substation (Florida Glen Shopping Centre) tripped on an earth fault protection. The technical team is investigating the extent of the fault and working to isolate the affected infrastructure before restoration can commence. Further updates will be provided as information becomes available. For isolated individual outages and any other electricity-related queries, customers are advised to log calls via citypower.mobi, or contact our Call Centre on 011 490 7484 / 0800 202 925.
