Do people worried about being falsely accused under the now non-bailable rape offense realise it isn’t the only non-bailable offense? Anyone can be wrongly accused under any of the 9 non-bailable offenses. Complaining about only one doesn’t look good on you right now.

Unfortunately, I will have to say this, you aren’t very knowledgeable on this topic. Revoking bail takes long? It’s instant, the moment a report reaches the court and it’s not part of the trial as you are trying to suggest. It has nothing to do with the length of the trial. Are you aware that a victim is a witness of the state and has protection through the police and the courts ? If there is a breach and you happen to remain silent without informing the police or court, who do you blame for that?
