Local-growth data inside Claude/ChatGPT: map pack, reviews, competitors & 'near me' gaps as cited briefs. No scraping, no dashboards. For local/SMB operators.

Two honest notes. Bound your asks — "top 20 records, then deepen" beats "research everything" (fan-out costs real credits). And the free trial grant is enough to test a few workflows before deciding whether it earns a place in your client work.

Most local-marketing operators use Claude or ChatGPT for writing — then tab out to pull reviews, rankings, and competitor data by hand. You can wire live public data straight into the chat instead. One URL, no code. Setup takes ~5 minutes 🧵

The build order that keeps you honest: one Skill, in the agent you already use, on live data. Run five REAL client tasks in a plain chat thread. If it can't produce a useful answer there, a nicer UI won't fix it. If it can, you'll know exactly what to productize.

Agency owners keep asking if they need to "build an AI tool" for client work. Mostly: no. A working public-data workflow needs four pieces — and none of them is a custom app. The minimum viable stack, and the overbuild traps:

Concrete example: a med-spa client. Search their name + city across all three, pull transcripts of the top hits, summarize what creators and customers actually say. Minutes inside Claude, ~4¢ in data — social listening most local agencies never deliver.

Local businesses obsess over Google. But the proof AI engines read lives increasingly on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube — Ahrefs just measured YouTube mentions as the strongest predictor of AI brand visibility (0.737). How to watch all three without three tools:

New Ahrefs data: the strongest predictor of AI brand visibility isn't backlinks or domain rating — it's YouTube mentions (0.737 correlation). AI answers read transcripts, reviews, Reddit threads — surfaces most local SEO plans never touch. Citeable beats ranked.

@vadymhimself The transcript is the quiet mechanism behind 0.737 — each upload is a crawlable text doc engines can quote, a citeable surface that reads as independent of your domain. We track which surfaces answers cite: unifapi.com/agents/ai-visi…

the highest-correlation predictor of AI brand visibility in Ahrefs's 2026 study isn't backlinks. it isn't domain rating. it isn't page count. it's YouTube mentions. 0.737 correlation. Tim Soulo published this two days ago. i shipped our HeyGen → Webflow → YouTube pipeline three weeks before he hit publish. here's what the pipeline does: → every new blog article triggers a HeyGen Video Agent run. → HeyGen renders a 2-minute walkthrough with my avatar, scene-table-formatted script (15-20s scenes, b-roll auto-composed). → the video uploads to YouTube via the Data API with an SEO-optimized title. → the Webflow article gets the YouTube embed dropped into the body via a data-rt-embed-type wrapper. → wallet auto-reloads when balance drops below $242.55. one article in. one published post + one ranked YouTube video out. fully unattended. i built this for two reasons. the boring one: video is cheap to produce now, and our content team is two people. the non-boring one: ChatGPT and Perplexity cite YouTube transcripts when they answer questions. most SaaS founders are still optimizing for Google's link graph in 2026. AI search rewards distribution, not links. now Ahrefs has the receipt. if you're a B2B SaaS founder reading this and you don't have video on your blog posts in 2026, you're paying for SEO that increasingly doesn't matter while ignoring the channel that does. we're a $2.5M ARR bootstrapped Upwork lead-gen tool. we don't have a video team. we have a Claude skill. the thesis: in AI search, you don't win by writing more. you win by being citeable in more places. YouTube is one of those places. build the pipeline.
