On 14 May 2026, UN Resident Coordinator @MamadouKane_UN welcomed 🇧🇪 Ambassador Vladislava Iordanova for a courtesy call on shared priorities across Micronesia including climate resilience 🌊, ocean conservation 🐠, health 🏥, biodiversity 🌱and sustainable development ♻️ 🤝🇺🇳✨

🇺🇳 On the ground in Chuuk, UN agencies are working as one to support the response to #TyphoonSinlaku. From water and health to shelter, protection and education, a coordinated #OneUN effort is delivering life-saving support across islands. 🤝

🇺🇳 In Chuuk, UN Resident Coordinator @MamadouKane_UN met with President Wesley W. Simina and Governor Alexander R. Narruhn 🤝 Reaffirming a Government-led #OneUN response, aligned with national priorities to deliver coordinated support to affected communities.

🇺🇳 The UN Resident Coordinator @MamadouKane_UN arrived in Chuuk alongside OCHA/UNDAC teams and UNICEF supplies, joining Government-led coordination. A unified #OneUN response is underway, scaling up life-saving support and reaching communities across islands. 🤝

In FSM, OCHA/UNDAC joined DECEM, Chuuk DCO, @IOMNorthPacific and MRCS on joint assessments after #TyphoonSinlaku. Across dispersed islands, partners come together to map needs, align efforts, and support a coordinated response. #PacificResponse #HumanitarianAction #FSM

In 🇫🇲, OCHA/UNDAC joined @UNICEF and CDOE to assess schools impacted by #TyphoonSinlaku. Classrooms damaged, roofs lost, supplies gone. Yesterday, the first temporary learning space opened for over 50 children. A collective effort to bring education back. #EiE #PacificResponse

On Tuesday, @UNinMicronesia and @UNOCHA convened humanitarian partners in 🇫🇲 FSM to strengthen coordination of the response to #TyphoonSinlaku. Working together to ensure timely, effective support reaches affected communities. #FSM #HumanitarianResponse #OnTheGround
