Martial arts are great if you can trust that the dude you're facing isn't carrying something that will do more damage faster. But what they SHOULD teach you that it's really easy to walk away from fights, because the 5'2" dude at your gym called you up while giving commentary.

The goal should be "look like a tourist/expat" in countries where you don't fit in bc of tattoos/skin tone. I'd say these dudes don't make the cut on that, but they also just might not need to.

I can kind of understand giving these dudes a little bit of shit given the fact that it’s pretty obvious what they are and what they’re doing. But I think the whole ” you’re supposed to blend in and you’re supposed to be the gray man” schtick has been misinterpreted since Vietnam. You really think that a alpha base full of white dudes in the middle of Vietnam was “gray”? Fuck no. The whole point of that statement is to not overly advertise your actions. To be honest, it gets pretty fucking difficult to blend in where you stand almost an entire foot above them, with a wholly different skin tone.
