@universalpunx One year of mainnet… not a super long time in crypto, when I see what ADA and others did after 1 year of mainnet! Sorry to see you go but good luck. Patience has a cost few can afford.

Expectation vs. Reality: Our Exit from Lukso When we first invested in Lukso, we bought the vision, the team, and the token. As one of the earliest projects tackling account abstraction (AA) with a laser focus on UX, paired with flashy partnership announcements, Lukso had us hooked. Expectation: A nimble core team that could move fast, break shit, and pivot without the bureaucratic baggage of the Ethereum Foundation or other lumbering chains. Mainnet would launch with the bare essentials to compete in today’s cutthroat blockchain arena: a fully functioning wallet (mobile and desktop), a robust block explorer, a bridge, all the promised LSPs, and an OG team leveraging past and present connections for tier-1 CEX listings and real partnerships. Someone who’s been in crypto this long should get it—security ties to token price. For stability, distribution, and decentralization, that price needs to hold or climb, incentivizing long-term holders to spread the wealth. Reality: A year into mainnet, and we’re still waiting. No functional wallet. No mobile support. No bridge. Trading volume’s drying up, and any hope of decentralization via tier-1 listings fades to zero. The team isn’t moving fast—they’re crawling so slowly that others, like Story Protocol, are forking their work and eating their lunch. Even Ethereum’s pushing EIPs to enable AA, leaving Lukso’s once-innovative edge looking stale. Fabian and the core team have lost our faith. They’re not standing out in a field of competitors—they’re falling behind. We didn’t join Lukso to mint an NFT and dunk on them. We wanted to build builders. Expectation: A thriving ecosystem where we’d open-source our repos and assets, stake to support the network, and kickstart initiatives like SpeedRun Lukso with mint proceeds. (Those funds hit zero before we could move, though a young PunX, Tanto, grabbed the torch and secured a Lukso grant—good luck to him; we’re not sure if those tokens ever materialized.) Long-term, we aimed to forge a Cypher Punk ethos community, craft public tools, and roll out retail-facing dApps leveraging AA and Lukso’s unique features. Reality: That vision’s dead. Over a year on mainnet, and the ecosystem’s still half-baked. No AA tools to build with, no momentum to ride. We’ve been sounding the alarm all year—constructive criticism, not just "bad vibes" or petty jabs like some claim. We cared. We really cared. But the deaf ears at the foundation ignored the fire bells. Now, we’re out. Lukso’s not the future we signed up for—it’s a lesson in unmet potential.

we have built a good community, but how can we leverage them to market a product across North and South America when there is no cex listing for lukso in North or South America? its impossible to even onboard anyone unless they're super experienced in crypto and willing to signup to a shady overseas exchange with a vpn... bruh come on. We're never getting mass adoption like that. it needs to be 1 button. never mind once they do that, they need 2 wallets to get it to UP and once its in UP even I have a hard time finding where I can even send a token. i need to open 6 browsers sign in 3x click all over different options....

I am sad to see the PunX go and I hope that the near future changes your mind before you get too far into planning a move. There are things cooking 👀. Regardless of anyone’s opinion of PunX, the projects energy is part of what makes this corner of the internet so real. Never change!

The real goal hasn't changed, our thesis on the tech and how to accomplish it has. Build a community, and leverage that into building real products. We're done sitting on our hands waiting for lukso to get to a point where our products could be viable, have market access, and liquidity to work. This isn't the end, its just the beginning. 🤝🫳👌🫰🤙

Sad to see you go. I still remember 3,🔥and man, the interns’ vacuum capabilities live on tape? Absolute highlight. I laughed way too hard. Also, I still have a fucking Black Hoodie Punx. Might be my most valuable possession at this point. That said, what’s the real goal with moving? What do you actually think is better somewhere else? What do you want to achieve? I’m not out here reading past X, so all I ever see is the same cycle repeating. I just checked out story protocol. Ofcourse I did. I read the word ‘Trillion’ 5 times on their landingpage, read their whitepaper which is basically just classic vaporware dressed in AI hype. And they are using all the buzzwords available. Trustless, autonomous agents, programmable IP, decentralized dispute resolutions? Did you check out their explorer? Between all the unavailable metadata and blank fields there were 2 words I could read. “Robert” and “John”. Those are usernames. It’s just random numbers with no real transactions. These guys are talking about legal wrappers on smart contracts? Good luck enforcing that in court. But… they’ll probably have an agent to defend you for that 😅 ffs they are even ranked 53 on cmc. Goddamn, I didn’t want to take it this far and yet again, I’m the one typing and getting carried away. Or did you do that on purpose? Fml. Anyway, I don’t see you launching on a chain with having the word ape in it’s name either. All these communities, cults or whatever they claim to be. If you really start looking into them you see they are all soulless empty shells with no backbone whatsoever. The images of these founders are probably midjourney prompts. At least the echo rooms in here are filled with actual people. Think about the fact that in this thread here alone, there are 3 people asking you to launch on their chain. While they have 400 teams actively building. And now that I think of it, all of these startups have like 400 teams building and still. 0.0 innovation. 7 years in the making & ranking 800th might be our biggest strength at this point.

@universalpunx Your NFTs are the best looking out there, why not migrate to HyperliquidEVM where NFTs looking horrible are flying atm? You'd be really early 😉

@universalpunx 2/2 Im also not saying this is the ONLY issue I see with lukso, there are MULTIPLE issues. @feindura or whoever is in charge of outreach is HOPEFULLY putting something like this together as at least a START that would allow other tools you mentioned a chance to then exist

the entire industry is speculation, and liquidity doesn't move for fun. it needs an incentive, normally chains have to incentivize this with airdrops, or bonuses, dapps with flywheels. nobody is pulling stables out of high secure aave on eth at 5% to lukso for fun. there is no dapp to yield anything on lukso... and the wallet is sketchy.

@universalpunx Right now if I want to speculate it's all through lyxe, and Im hesitant to migrate until last minute. That all changes with assurances. As a by product there is a great change in value prop thus token price. (potential for that, Im not saying its a guarantee)

@JPeg_Getty on chain TVL specifically, but thats held back by native token volume/security. a bridge won't spur the economy because its not secure to transfer any value to a chain secured by $4m in validators. you think a whale will move 2m in stables to a chain secured by 4m?

@universalpunx When you say no trading volume, you mean like trading between lyx and chill on universalswaps ? A trustworthy stable and bi directional bridge can spur an economy. Im with you on your points, I was just stating MY personal complaints, while knowing things can change quickly.

@JPeg_Getty why would they put the effort in to design a new token (all native tokens on other chains use erc20) to move to a chain with $1000 in trading volume? they're managing hundreds of billions on well established chains. all risk, no rewards.

@universalpunx I dont see why usdc or usdt wouldnt want a native on lukso, or at min work with lukso even if its a wrapped stable Unless there is something I dont know. The UP is one thing, but I use both UP and metamask

@JPeg_Getty they will never get a native stable coin, the best you'll get is wrapped, but who will bridge and wrap a stable when even the core team says "dont put much value in your up, its a bit iffy still"

@universalpunx I look at this like constructive criticism that is needed to be said. Thank you for saying it out loud. It make me bullish and Im buying more lyx in portions My two short term concerns are 1. bridge 2. a popular stable coin on the mainnet.

@universalpunx Sad and let down to see you leave. You relentlessly pursued free speech, to the extent that you polarized those who viewed your content. I understood the underlying message, but I do think it was lost amongst the polarity of delivery. 🪦 Gold Hoodie Dreams 💔
