Nobody is asking why he was upset in the first place. Where they trespassing on his property? Bear spray is fine when somebody is threatening to hurt you or has assaulted you. Getting yelled at doesn't count as assault, but macing a person that didn't touch yo while they are walking away from you certainly is assault.

THere is a girl straight ahead by the car. walking away from one group of girls to another girl. Not to mention why is he even there getting in their faces? Call the police and leave, he kept getting in their faces, then he walked to another girl when she yelled something at him. Look, I'm sure the girls are not 100% innocent, but don't act like you can't see what is in the 2nd POV, you can see him right by the car when he got sprayed, a few seconds later you see that there was a girl right by the car where he was walking to. I feel like I'm living in a bazario world. Just because the girls are girls and annoying doesn't mean that they deserved to be assaulted. and no you do not have to touch someone to assault them, that is battery. He could have walked away before even getting in her face, he could have just said nothing and stand there to make sure they leave. But he is the one that chose to approach them in an aggressive manner, to the point that one of them felt threatened and got her mace out (clear case for him assaulting her right there)
