Hello.
This is Waktaverse Gomem, Haku0089.
First, I want to apologize about this happening.
In the beginning, I started out as a homage character with respect, as the scale of the Waktaverse grows, I would need to check out the similarities between the "Haku0089" and "Miku" as much as possible.
Previously, I already recognized part of the problems, so I created the original character to minimize the conflict between two fandoms and solve the copyright, but I think my solution was insufficent and it seems late to roll it back.
I'm so sorry for the lack of action.
With this problem, I decided to consult with Wakgood before making any further changes to the name and avatar appearance.
I have caused great concern to all of you as a result of this incident.
I sincerely apologize once again to both fandoms and to those who have suffered inconvenience as a result of this.
I will also clarify my position regarding the motion plagiarism incident, which has been the starting point and the biggest controversy of this issue.
In the case of the motion data that caused controversy and was shared by the reaper, "FlyingSpirits-P", when I was planning this video, I downloaded the motion from a link in the YouTube video description, and I was not aware of the problem as the shared YouTube video link disappeared along with the cautionary notes that were written.
At the time of reference research, there were also some MMD videos on YouTube that used the same motion, and I couldn't recognize whether the person who distributed the motion was a reaper, so I had a careless belief that simply giving credit would be enough.
Furthermore, before starting into the actual content production, I was aware that the link to the video from which I downloaded the motion had disappeared. In an attempt to verify whether the motion was still available for use, I visited the distributor's website. During this double-checking process, I didn't notice the • Warning for Japanese users • section in the overview. My responsibility is significant for not thoroughly reading this cautionary note, and I admit to using the motion without permission and deeply regret this.
I also acknowledge that there was a lack of preliminary research before content production, and I deeply apologize to the Vocaloid fans who were hurt, as well as to Wakgood, Isedol, Waktaverse fans, Isedol fans, my fans, and all subculture fandoms both domestically and internationally who have suffered due to my actions. I am truly sorry.
In the future, I will put more attention on conduct thorough preliminary research when dealing with works where it is unclear whether they contain copyrighted material from games or not.
I apologize sincerely once again to everyone for causing any concerns or inconveniences.
