Body neutrality statements for disabled people: • I do not have to perform wellness to be treated with dignity. • My existence is enough. My being matters. • I don’t have to love my body. I can still be kind to it. • I can acknowledge pain without blaming my body. • I can grieve what I’ve lost without hating what remains. • My body and I are on the same team, even when it doesn’t feel that way. • What I can do today says nothing about my worth. • Energy is a precious, limited resource. I’m allowed to spend it wisely. • PEM is real. It is not a personal flaw. • My body doesn’t have to work “normally” to be valid. • My worth is not measured by how much my body can do.
