They'll probably start by revoking RPAL licences, then move to bank freezes (like the truckers) or even jail after the October 30, 2026 amnesty ends. But they have no clue who owns what. Only 67,000 firearms declared by 38,000 owners nationwide super tiny compliance out of hundreds of thousands (or more) affected guns. No real registry for these, so good luck to them enforcing it.

As a law-abiding Canadian citizen, hunter, and legal firearms owner, my answer is simple: non-compliance. I refuse to willingly hand over my legally purchased property to this government. These aren't "assault weapons", they're my sport rifles and hunting tools that I've owned responsibly for years. I know a few things: governments that come for your guns don't stop there. Stay out of my safe, stay out of my life. Law-abiding citizens aren't surrendering. Period.
