Today, we celebrate LGBTQ+ STEM Day and honour the incredible contributions of LGBTQ+ individuals across the STEM/STEAM fields. It’s a reminder of how essential diversity is, and how every voice deserves to be heard and valued.

From research labs to engineering teams to tech startups, queer minds bring fresh perspectives, creativity, and courage that help shape a more inclusive and innovative world.

May we listen, learn, and honour the residential school survivors. Today we reflect and acknowledge the ongoing impacts on communities and families across Canada 🧡

Today, we honour the voices, stories, and resilience of Indigenous peoples. Up4 The Challenge supports the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples across Turtle Island, and believe that embracing diverse perspectives build stronger communities.

Happy International Women in Engineering Day! Today, we celebrate the remarkable contributions of women in engineering, recognizing the innovation, leadership, and resilience that shape our world.

We recognize the importance of creating space for Indigenous youth and leaders in STEM, and we are committed to learning from, uplifting, and working alongside Indigenous communities.

Indigenous voices have long been underrepresented in STEM fields, despite generations of knowledge, innovation, and connection to land, sustainability, and community. At Up4 The Challenge, we believe that true innovation means embracing diverse perspectives.

June 21st is National Indigenous Peoples Day. On this day, we honour and celebrate the culture, history, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples across Turtle Island.

🌍✨ Happy World Environment Day! ✨🌍 Today, we celebrate the creativity of youth and the power of community to build a just, sustainable future. At Up4 The Challenge, we believe designing with people and the planet is the key to real climate action.

Thank you to Marlo Young-Sponga and her team at UTM for recognizing this partnership—and to Gabriella, Azhur, Isabelle, Kate, Sirui, and Tarun for reminding us what’s possible when young people lead with purpose.

Grateful and honoured to receive an award from the University of Toronto Mississauga's Centre for Student Engagement recognizing the positive impact Up4 The Challenge had on the student experience of an incredible group of undergraduate students this year.

Their creativity, commitment, and energy throughout our Social Innovation Project were infectious. From day one, they brought bold ideas and deep care for equity and inclusion in youth #STEM education. Watching them grow as designers and leaders was the real reward.

Initiatives like this are vital in empowering young people with the critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills necessary to drive meaningful change. It was inspiring to see the level of creativity, innovation, and engagement the students brought to the session!

We had the privilege of leading a workshop with the MePlus program, where students used STEM to collaboratively address real-world challenges they have witnessed and experienced.
