Exactly a month today, I had the privilege of scrubbing in as one of the assistant surgeons, alongside two house officers, for the first laparoscopic appendectomy procedure performed at UNTH by my consultant, Prof. Obonna. Being right there at the sterile field, learning directly from his expertise, assisting where I could, and being part of a successful procedure is an experience I’ll never forget. I am grateful for the exposure, guidance, and reminder of why this journey is worth every step. Trust the process. – Theo
