Always thinking about our guy, Barry Melrose, this time of year. I started covering NCAA Tournament television with Barry in 2006. Colby joined us in 2019. Barry had to retire in 2023 because of Parkinson's. Lives in Ohio now. Miss the big guy. I know he's watching. Miss the cigar smoke and his high volume cackle.

This GMG shareholder is expressing his wish born out of envy. I can't think of any other reason he continues his campaign against HG. If he is so sure he owns the better company than he should rest easy, knowing this GMG will make him a lot of money if it performs. And what makes him so sure HG's shares will come to nothing other than he wishes it to be so, so that he can be comforted that he didn't pick "the wrong horse?" If his wish comes true that HG's sales come to nothing, then he will be right in his predictions for HG's shareholders. But what would that gain for him. Funny how envy works. Kind of like socialism which is built on envy of others who succeed. As Winston Churchill said, “Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery”

@MikeGrinnell_ Called the regional there in 2022 .. Harvard and Minn St .. noon start on a Thursday to open the tourney .. maybe 200 in the seats .. embarrassing the way this has been for over 20 years .. players don’t deserve to play the biggest games of their careers in empty arenas ..

The @NCAAIceHockey actively hates to grow their game through the tournament with the selection of hosting sites. There's a reason no one bids and crap rinks are chosen Do better
