In the landmark Judgement (Pathan v SSHD) UKSC agrees with Appellant that HO breached its duty of procedural fairness. The judgement will have big implications for public law and immigration law.

@Raj_Sharma_UK Advised the client for a JR application but by that time client had settled in luxurious life at home so sadly did not continue.

Currently dealing with a JR where client left UK voluntarily after allegation, appealed, won and now the HO have the nerve to say he needs to apply to come back rather than be granted a visa to remedy their original unfounded allegation. #ukimmigration

After a long battle-a win in the CA test cases in Balajigari & ors; 2 subsequent MTRs; again refused on 322(5) grounds; & then a big win in the FTT (with the SSHD deciding not to appeal)-our client has ultimately been granted ILR. All thanks to Michael Biggs of @twelveoldsquare

I watched the 2006 World Cup in the most English place on Earth (Benidorm). I was supporting England, wearing an England shirt etc. A group of 'lads' came up to us outside a nightclub and challenged us on our Englishness. I haven't really supported England since.

Dispute with a 2 y/o: He is seeking to argue that an ice cream sandwich doesn't satisfy the definition of 'ice cream' for the purpose of our agreement and that I now owe him a proper 'ice cream'.

2020 the gift that just keeps giving - Sometime around NYE I managed to contract Covid, despite not leaving the house, meaning my youngest's 1st birthday will be spent in isolation this week. Everyone at home is feeling fine but we are staying vigilant for any further symptoms.

@ColinYeo1 Yes. You need to read whole judgement. The split as to positive or negative duty re procedural unfairness did not affect the outcome.

@ColinYeo1 Yes the refusal is quashed and as per the decision he has to have a notice of revocation of sponsor license and reasonable opportunity to respond to it.

@ColinYeo1 Colin the credit goes to counsel Michael Biggs of @twelveoldsquare who was instructed to argue the matter and had preparation time of a month.

The Supreme Court allows the appeal. The Court unanimously holds that the Home Secretary breached her procedural duty to act fairly by failing promptly to notify the Appellant of the revocation of his sponsor’s licence.
