Time is running out to apply for an #IMLSgrant! We are accepting applications to our Native American Library Services: Enhancement Grants and Native Hawaiian Library Services programs.

From barbershops to the speaker stage, IMLS Medalist Wilmington Institute Free Library in Delaware is building a culture of reading and opportunity. Programs like Barbershop Books and the Cool Conversations series empower young readers and celebrate voices that reflect the community—helping ensure the promise of education reaches every family. #IMLS250

In the coming weeks, IMLS will celebrate #Freedom250 by spotlighting each of the original 13 colonies. We’re starting with the first to ratify the Constitution – Delaware! At Cooch's Bridge Historic Site, Delaware witnessed its only Revolutionary War battle on September 3, 1777, proving even the smallest states played a role in the fight for independence. #IMLS250

IMLS is accepting applications for two #IMLSgrant programs: Native American Library Services: Enhancement Grants and Native Hawaiian Library Services. These grants seek to improve library services for Native American and Native Hawaiian populations, promoting cultural preservation and community engagement. Eligible organizations must apply by April 10th.

This expansive, immersive habitat is a representation of all the zoo stands for including data-informed design, animal wellbeing, and connecting people with nature. This state of the art habitat was based off of years of lion research both at Lincoln Park Zoo and in the wild. It offers heated rocks, shade structures, climbing trees, vertical space, floor to ceiling viewing windows and more. Guests can get nose-to-nose views with the only social cat species.
