It’s ridiculous for the UN to put a democracy like Israel—with robust rule of law that conducts investigations and holds criminals accountable—on the same level as terrorist organizations like Hamas & ISIS which DELIBERATELY target civilians for sexual violence as a weapon of terror.

Instead, this week, we got another climate resolution built around virtue signals, disputed legal theories, and dangerous political demands.  Another perfect example of why President Trump is right about getting the UN back to basics! This morning I joined fellow veteran Congress-members to wash the Vietnam Veterans Memorial ahead of Memorial Day. As a Green Beret, this wall is personal. Every name stands in front of a family that gave everything for America. At the UN, I carry that with me every day: diplomacy first, strength always, and the honor of representing a nation worthy of their sacrifice.

They’re running out of money and their economy is in shambles. But rather than embrace some peaceful new approach, the Iranian military is engaging in repeated and reckless attacks, now on civilian power infrastructure, and clings to a nuclear weapons strategy that risks plunging the world into darkness. We cannot tolerate it, we will not tolerate it.

President Trump and the United States have been second-guessed over and over again in this conflict, but I think this makes it clear yet again: the President is taking the actions necessary to safeguard a secure and safer future for the world. What we should be focused on is a nation that just attacked a nuclear power plant in a neighboring country.

At the UN we are rallying the world - 120 countries so far - that no nation can respond to a conflict by throwing mines into international waters, charging tolls, and taking the global economy hostage. @foxnews @marthamccallum
