🎉 Congratulations to our Staff Member of the Month – Barbara Zuzelski! 🎉 We are thrilled to recognize Barbara for her incredible dedication, selflessness, and support throughout this school year.

Mrs. Hampton has been an incredible asset to our school, stepping up to every substitute assignment with an open and welcoming attitude. This year, she has taken on multiple long-term substitute roles, including 1st grade, 5th-6th grade Social Studies, and 11th-12th grade ELA.

Congratulations to Katrina as our Employee of the Month! Katrina is a lifelong learner who is always reflecting on her teaching practices to grow and improve. She goes above and beyond to meet the needs of every student in her classroom and genuinely cares about their success.

We are thrilled to announce that Clay Hampton has been named USD 494 Employee of the Month!

Please help us in congratulating Marcos Valadez as our employee of the month! Marcos is the head high school cheer coach, as well as an excellent teacher. In the evenings, you can find Marcos leading migrant English classes. He goes above and beyond and we are so grateful!

One day of school left and then it's onto break! School will resume regular hours on Tuesday, January 7th, 2025. We would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Liz Plunkett, Syracuse Elementary School principal, Syracuse @usd494, said thanks to the Registered Teacher Apprenticeship Program, the district is now able to fill two teaching positions.
