As manifested, what’s vibecoded has to be published (even if cringe) Introducing cezarflip.com - flip a coin, double your money, starting from $1 all the way to $2048 (also as a Base app miniapp base.app/app/cezarflip.…) Composing this with Claude - what can be easier, right? RIGHT?? Well, short answer is yes, but it’s complicated Thinking it through, and creating version 1.0 (which kinda almost worked) took less than 1 hour. Everything else took another 2 full days (!!!) Since I vibecode to learn and become a better product person, I blended in a few challenges from the beginning: - Verifiable 50/50 randomness I used Pyth Entropy, as it’s much faster and cheaper than Chainlink VRF (For those who don’t know, a blockchain can’t offer real randomness, so I had to use an oracle). It’s a hybrid system, randomness sponsored through the contract, so players don’t pay for it on each flip, but if the randomness fund runs empty, players can keep flipping - will be asked to pay 0.00002 ETH (~$0.06) extra - IOU system which allows the house to keep running even when bankrupt This is an idea I saw a long time ago in a paper published by @izebel_eth - it lived rent-free in my head for a long time, so I decided to finally test it (in the simplest way possible). The house can owe you money if you win too much, assuming future player losses will make up for the debt. If the bankroll goes too shallow, the game turns into recovery mode, increasing the house edge and limiting the number of steps a player can go on the ladder. With existing IOU debt, 80% of losses goes directly to debt holders and 20% stays in the house to slowly grow it back (give a read x.com/izebel_eth/sta…) - Deploy as a Base app miniapp Great distribution channel and a very nice UX with smart wallet, batched transactions - and they also sponsor gas! (at least while I was testing). Not too complicated since I’ve done it once before, but I still hope the docs get updated one day by someone who actually deployed a miniapp. @jessepollak ser you have to lose a couple of bucks as tribute to the spirit of vibecode trenches: base.app/app/cezarflip.… - Make it work, make it look alright With all wallets, browsers, devices - while you have 10 extensions installed and all of them hate you and your mother. Besides, even in such a small app there are tons of edge cases, things to communicate properly through UI, and just making it look nice is quite time consuming. And then test test test test… idk though, maybe it still won’t work for you lmao Overall, 2 days is still extremely fast (yeah yeah I know… you would do it in 30 mins with your left foot while your gay boyfriend is inside you). As always, 10% of almost invisible work required 90% of the time, but I believe those 10% matter, even if no one will play it. I enjoyed the process a lot, and will most certainly continue clicking If you love making things, this is just the absolutely highest EV out there.
