@d0wnsideofme @KevinUlm83290 Because he’s a clickbait merchant
English

@UsedGolfFacts @KevinUlm83290 so he's a terrible journalist who keeps getting more popular when you thought his career was dead... interesting
English

Professional golfers as a group are ~$1 billion richer today than if LIV had never existed.
In a just world, they would be building a Phil Mickelson at PGA Tour HQ. Instead, he’s been banned for life and erased from the history books. Sad.
Awful Announcing@awfulannouncing
Trey Wingo: Phil Mickelson will never be back on PGA Tour awfulannouncing.com/golf/trey-wing…
English

@d0wnsideofme @KevinUlm83290 He’s been consistently wrong 😂
English

@UsedGolfFacts @KevinUlm83290 he’s still relevant cus he’s telling the truth 😂
English

@Braden22anders For the third time now, whether or not Alex is good enough to compete is not at all the issue.
English

@UsedGolfFacts Quality player. T9 in PGA debut. Deserved it
English

@JohnWu860701 Totally fair.
Russell Henley won 1 event last year and had the 8th highest earning season in the entire history of the PGA Tour(!).
English

@UsedGolfFacts I dislike LIV for a multitude of reasons. Don’t like the product, don’t like how it fractured golf, don’t like the sportswashing.
That said you are 100% correct - any pro who denies this statement is lying through their teeth.
Phil got everybody paid.
English

@KevinUlm83290 Yeah, where the heck did he come from? Thought his career died a decade or two ago.
English

@UsedGolfFacts Trey Wingo is fast becoming Brandel Chamblee Jr. - a jealous, arrogant, hateful, sanctimonious, uneducated, uninformed, unlikable jerk
English

Rory McIlroy skipped Doral to attend a dinner at the White House sitting next to Ivanka Trump. Patriot.
Masters Burner@ANGC_burner
Rory skipping Doral, huh?
English

@CKloqz Ok, but Chase played in the same event multiple times. So, if he had that opportunity to play in NOLA with Brooks why were people so outraged by his playing LIV?
English

@UsedGolfFacts Thousands of spots difference in world ranking is not a nickel and dime.
And if the situation were close to equivalent, the PGA Tour would have simply given Alex his card because of Matt, no tournament win required.
English

@joseph_loparo @AndyPopegolf Exactly, I do not care. As I said, the game is the game.
My point is that it’s just as silly now as it was when people were complaining about Chase playing LIV events.
English

@UsedGolfFacts @AndyPopegolf And Bronny wouldn’t be on the Lakers, who gives a fuck? Does not affect your life in any way.
English

@CKloqz You can nickel and dime Chase’s credentials in comparison, but it’s ultimately the same story.
Getting in limited field, no cut, $20 million events because he has a brother that is a top 5 player in the world.
English

@UsedGolfFacts Not remotely close. Chase was handed a spot on LIV while outside the top 1,000 in the world.
Alex at least earned his spot, along with his brother, by winning an ornament. Not to mention, he’s currently in the top 150 in the world.
English

@12345sports55 @AndyPopegolf I’m not trying to discredit Alex as a player, but the double standard is blatant.
English

@UsedGolfFacts @AndyPopegolf I guess technically you are right but he still had to earn it by winning the zurich tourney. Either way he won on the dp world tour on his own without help from his big brother
English

@brnraccount001 Matt was largely to blame for the double, sure, but he put them in position to win and closed the door.
Pretending like Alex would’ve won if he was playing with even just a marginally better than average Tour player is really quite silly.
English

@UsedGolfFacts Alex actually carried Matt for most of the final round
English

@joseph_loparo Getting in limited field, no cut, $20 million events because he has a brother that is a top 5 player in the world is exactly the issue I’m talking about.
Is he “more deserving” than Chase Koepka was of LIV..? Sure, but it’s still an opportunity afforded to him by nepotism.
English

@UsedGolfFacts Siggies aside, you know he was getting his card regardless due to the new DP rank rule, right? 🤡
English

@Mick007abc The Signature Event piece is what I find to be more egregious than the Tour card.
Again, nothing against Alex. Just very difficult to not see it as nepotism.
English

@UsedGolfFacts The difference is Alex membership has just been bought forward, would be a member anywhere next year
English

@SportsTomE441 As I said, nothing against Alex. He’s very talented.
But he will be playing in Signature events because his brother is 3rd in the OWGR.
You can nickel and dime Chase’s credentials in comparison, but it’s ultimately the same story.
English

@UsedGolfFacts He won a DP event this year and was already well on his way to getting a tour card.
English

@DLP1968 Again, nothing against Alex.
I’m merely pointing out that he is afforded his opportunity to play in Signature events this week because his brother is the 3rd ranked golfer in the world. That’s just a fact.
English

@UsedGolfFacts This is insane. It’s a team event and Alex has already won on the DP World Tour. He’s not some hacker from your weekend foursome at your local muni. He played great and they won! Be done
English

@Braden22anders That’s fine. Again, nothing against Alex.
But he is playing in Signature events because his brother is the 3rd ranked golfer in the world. If his brother were a barista, he would be playing in Turkey this week. Full stop.
English

@UsedGolfFacts He is a top 100 player in Data-golf. He would have gotten his card after this year. No real problem with the signature event thing, several worse players are in them.
