
There's something inherently wrong when a country with ample fresh water supplies, wide range of domesticated animals, resource rich land, good weather for large scale farming, can't do better in terms of development, services, institutions, food supply, all essential to promote growth, nutrition, education for their people.
My personal view is that Nigeria, like many other underdeveloped nations, have the potential but suffer from chronic corruption and spillover effects such as crime, bandits, kidnapping, fraud, and jihadists who see an opportunity for a failed state. This problem can only be overcome at home when parents instil values in their offspring, such as integrity, honesty, decency, respect, fair play...
