Store has now been inactive for just over a year, so we have completed our obligations for warranties.
The shopify will now be closed down and removed from the site.
Is there any interest in the phantom still? If so, we may put up a basic way to order those only. Let me know!
@mariusheier Is that the latest revision of Microsoft's Xbox Controller on the left? I have not seen that board revision before. Might you know the controller model number and board part number?
@KytorIndustries Will you be selling any 3ft (1m) length DC power cables? Also between the two recommended Mean Well power supplies, is one model better that the other for ripple/noise? I noticed only one has an earth pin on the input.
Introducing the RetroTap power distribution system for retro consoles.
RetroTap replaces the tangled mess of aging, bulky wall warts with a modern central power solution engineered for simplicity and exceptionally low ripple.

@krikzz@Yannick_B_P Any chance of a Sega Saturn Joyzz controller? It would be amazing if there was also a Joyzz 2.4G USB receiver so you could use all Joyzz controllers with the MiSTer with low input latency.

@TakiUdon_@scott_mccall Any chance of a photo of the prototype PCB? Just curious if you managed to match the original Nintendo pads D-pad and button contact shape/design.
@TakiUdon_ Does this use a physical power switch or a software controlled switch? In other words could I connect this to a USB charger+smartplug to power on/off remotely?
Introducing the SuperStation one. An open-source PS1 FPGA gaming console that supports original games, memory cards, and controllers. Load games from a disk or a backup. Region free. Supports all MiSTer FPGA cores, including N64 & Sega Saturn.

@username_gone Yup, confusing. v2.1 is correct but the original v2.0 dates all the way back to 2022 actually. They did make their own improvements by making the sd slot ejectable rather than push-pull though
Just ordered e latest hw rev2.1 of #SummerCart64, here side by side with e previous rev2.0. Honestly, besides e back button & PCB prints, I couldn’t tell e diff! The back shell has back button access now of course. The most up-to-date & affordable one money can buy now!
@nosIndulgences Looked through github and the last few PCB revs are-
HW ver: 2.0 "22.02.2022"
HW ver: 2.0a "12.02.2023"
HW ver: 2.0b "17.04.2024"
HW ver: 2.1 "11.08.2024"
Looks like AE seller changed the date to 05.10.2024, and accidentally changed date format from DD-MM-YYYY to MM-DD-YYYY?
@YveltalGriffin Looks great! Any chance of a Wii version at some point? Also might there be any news on the Wii DAC I2C register values for a 480p fix for later models?
I'm creating the *ultimate* GameCube analog video mod: CubeVGA!🧊
It takes digital video from the GameCube GPU, and outputs composite video, S-Video, RGBS, YPbPr, & VGA.
CubeVGA supports every single resolution the GameCube can output, including 480p and 960i— perfect for CRTs!
@nosIndulgences Thanks for the pic! I'm not certain, but I think the AE Transparent Black might be the closest match to the original Funtastic Smoke Grey color.
I’m very impressed w e small little updates/upgrades they have done w AE #N64 replacement shells nowadays… Nintendo embossing on e shells & even comes w a solid acrylic #N64 badge w stickers + feet. Only thing they missed is that e serial # & bottom labels don’t match 🤭
Bad start I'm afraid. Been with one of the N64s all afternoon and still no audio or video. Is not the video cable, the PSU, the game, the cartridge slot, the jumper pack or the caps. Board is clean and can't find any bad traces, loose pins, etc. It does turn on
Thoughts anybody?
@MisirajEduart@zez As far as I can tell the og Nintendo cables use copper braid (and perhaps copper foil too?) This is a photo I took of the inside of an official PAL Wii RGB SCART cable, and you can see the copper braid peeking out at the end of the cable.
This is a genuine Nintendo JP21 RGB cable SHVC-010. I want to use it in my SCART setup so I will replace the 220uf caps which have been conveniently placed on a tiny PCB in the plug.
@MisirajEduart Just a suggestion, but maybe switch the +5V to the opposite side so it does not need to pass through a via. I would then move the GND to the other side and keep the AGND at the bottom with both connected by a via, so perhaps something like this rough mockup?
@zez Haha thanks 😁
Yeah I thought so, some diagrams online say 180ohm witch is what is used on ather consoles but the Wii strange enough needs an 100ohm resistor. And I tested both and 180ohm shows a very dark picture.
Ages ago @MisirajEduart asked me to measure the resistor across the 5v line on a genuine Wii RGB SCART cable.
The commonly used docs say 100ohm and I can confirm with my own test that this is correct 😊
@WobblingP Any chance you may have tried the new 'Powered by RetroTink' RetroGamingCables Dreamcast 480p SCART Cable? Curious to know if it still has the field order issue the old cable had. retrogamingcables.co.uk/sega/SEGA-DREA…
