@kuncevic @OhMyFishShell If `npm run` is doing something different than `volta run npm run`, it sounds like there may be a different version of npm set up on your PATH so that Volta isn’t able to do its delegation properly. I would check if `which npm` (or the fish equiv) shows the Volta directory.

@usevolta yeah `npm run` runs global node however I need to run project specific version. So for that case `volta run npm run xyz` seems to much to type - that is one thing, second thing - `volta run npm run x...` doesn't autocomplete npm scripts within @ohmyfishshell as 'npm run x..' does

And just like that, after 2+ years I no longer use NVM and now @usevolta. Literally no setup necessary. Stop caring about what version of node, npm, yarn, etc you use in each project. Plus it installs blazingly fast 🦀

Appreciating @usevolta today! I discovered an issue that only happened on some dev machines, and could be fixed by upgrading the node version. With the volta config in our package.json files, everyone should be using the same node version and automatically get the fix.

@vonKristoff We have an issue in the repo tracking that; the main blocker is that deno is different enough from Node that it’s roguhly akin to supporting a new language. Will need a fair amount of design work, but definitely on our minds. github.com/volta-cli/volt…
