In 1996, James Sethian showed a beautiful shortcut for shortest paths in a messy world. Instead of testing route after route, fast marching computes an arrival-time field T(x,y) for the whole medium at once, so the wave naturally speeds through easy regions and bends around blocked ones. After that, the path is almost the easy part. Drop a particle anywhere and let it follow -∇ T, and it slides downhill on the travel-time landscape back toward the source along a globally optimal route.

Molecular Communication System Instead of using radio waves or light, molecular communications send information carefully through released chemical particles. A transmitter emits molecules into a medium, the channel reshapes that signal through diffusion, flow, and randomness. The receiver reads the message from the molecules that arrive and bind.

Evidence that chaos can be beautiful. Built with Three.js and GLSL shaders, this integrates dx/dt=sin(y)−b x, dy/dt=sin(z)−b y, dz/dt=sin(x)−b z. At b≈0.19 the Thomas attractor settles into a stable yet chaotic 3D geometry. 🔊
